Aval Vilayichathu

Aval/poha/rice flakes with Jaggiri and coconut is an easy and tasty snack. Serve this with Banana.
Ingredients:

Aval( Rice flakes) - 300g
Jaggiri  - 250g
Grated coconut - 1cup
Cardmom Powder - 1/2tsp

Method:

First make Jaggiri cyrup.Pour 1/2 cup of water in a pan ,add the jaggiri pieces and melt it.
In a bowl add the aval  and sprinke some water and mix them.(by doing this the aval become soft)
Add Coconut to the jaggiri cyrup.Mix well.Then add the aval and cardmom powder also.Mix it well till the aval is coated with jaggiri.Switch off the stove.Serve it cool.You can store this  in fridge for a month.

    Any left over.. from it.. just steam it in cooker.. rather than microwave.. It will b more yummier :)

  14. Its best If u mix freshly grated coconut with aval n keep for sometime till the jaggery paani is done. This could make the aval flavour best.After getting the jaggery heated to one thread sticky consistency add the coconut-aval mix.The more u heat this final mixture to flakey consistency,the more water content it looses and the more days it stays even w/o refregerating.Also dont forget to add dry ginger powder, elaichi n black sesame seeds coarsely ground as a final touch.
