Pavakka/Bitter Gourd Thoran
Ingredients:
Bitter gourd - 1
Onion - 1
Turmeric powder -1/4tsp
Green chilli - 2
Coconut oil - 1tbsp
Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
Mustard - 1/2tsp
Curry leaves
Salt
Method:
1. Chop the cleaned bitter gourd and onion.
2. In a pan heat oil and splutter mustard and curry leaves.
3. Add finely chopped bitter gourd , onion,turmeric powder,salt and green chillies.
4.sprinkle 2tbsp of water .cover and cook it on medium heat.
5. add grated coconut and mix well.
6.Serve with rice.

ReplyDeleteI usually prepare pawaka fry but never prepared thoran. Very nice and interesting recipe. Looks wonderful and good for health.
